The Fante's of the Akan tribe of Ghana have a saying that goes " ɔsono ekyire nni aboa" this translates to
"besided the elephant, there is no other animal" this is to say that the elephant is an esteemed creature above all others.

Throughout history, be it from Hannibal famously crossing the Alps with his army, aback elephants to invade Italy during the Second Punic War, to elephants on textiles as a symbol of wisdon, strength and goodluck in India, to the Asafo Flags of Ghana that depict the elephant as a greatest of animals beside whom there is no other.
Elephants are revered across Africa, Asia, Europe and all corners of the world.
